    Program Description

Keeping employees motivated and engaged in achieving business goals is one of the greatest challenges that managers face. It is important that the organization accepts responsibility for equipping the management team with resources to assist them in this daily enterprise that is vital to organizational success.

This session provides this opportunity for managers to learn principles to gain both the understanding of motivational concepts and how to apply this knowledge to their work situations. Individuals are motivated by a variety of things, and to further complicate matters, these motivators are in a state of constant change.

Learning objectives (What will HR professionals take away from your presentation?):

    • Recognize the importance of understanding motivation theories
    • Summarize how individual needs affect motivation
    • Relate the benefits of utilizing motivational strategy to engage employees
    • Recognize personal barriers to implementing positive motivational opportunities
    • Utilize Covey’s Emotional Bank Account to maintain positive relationships
    • View Covey’s The Whole Person Paradigm to focus on the difference in managing and leading
