Join our discussion of Scott Eblin’s book Overworked and Overwhelmed: The Mindfulness Alternative. Whether you have read the book or not, please come join a discussion of the three key questions we can ask ourselves, and the simple, practical choices we can make in our daily lives in order to feel better and show up more consistently as the best version of ourselves.

Our facilitator for this discussion is Jodi Callahan, PhD, ACC, Certified Coach, Executive Consultant, President at Understory Coaching.

Jodi is a Georgetown University certified leadership coach specializing in executive coaching and assessment, and President of Understory Coaching.

Before launching her business in 2013 she served as Director of Leadership Development at BAE Systems, Inc., and Manager of Leadership Development at the MITRE Corporation. In these roles she led teams responsible for company-wide training and development of managers and executives. She also led the design and delivery of the CEO’s high potential leadership development program at BAE Systems and a similar program at MITRE. Previously, as a Senior Consultant at Personnel Decisions International, she delivered a range of talent management services, with particular focus on assessment centers, and coaching leaders to understand and apply 360° feedback.

She has a deep concern for the struggles of the homeless, and provides pro bono coaching through two DC-area charities that help people transition from homelessness. She lives in Falls Church with her husband and two school-aged children.

Please join us for this lively discussion. You are welcome to extend an invitation to interested colleagues.  No fee is charged for attending.  However, registration is required on-line, at least 24 hours in advance, via the Dulles SHRM web site (www.dullesshrm.org) -- Chapter Discussion Groups.
