    Description:

    Volunteers of America is seeking an accomplished Human Resources Manager who will serve as the primary administrator for the retirement programs at Volunteers of America, its affiliates and subsidiaries. Provide HR and vendor reporting, auditing, analysis, billing, responding to compensation and benefit surveys and satisfy required government reporting. This position will also be responsible for the project management of developing increased technology, such as social media and paperless systems to improve effectiveness and efficiencies in HR. Candidates must have prior experience in HR, with knowledge of how to research HR legal issues and regulations and proven track record of confidentiality and integrity

    Requirements:

    Candidates will need Three (3) to Five (5) years of progressively responsible related experience in HRIS and benefits with at least three (3) years in a project management capacity preferred. In addition, candidates must have knowledge of best practices, benefit laws, requirements, and legislative and regulatory processes at federal and state levels; general compensation knowledge required including compliance with the state and federal laws that apply to the plans. Good understanding of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures is required.

    Additional necessary knowledge skills and abilities are as follows:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business, Finance or other related field preferred or equivalent experience (PHR or Benefits Certification preferred).
    • Must have prior experience in HR, with knowledge of how to research HR legal issues and regulations and proven track record of confidentiality and integrity
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), with strong problem-solving skills; Understanding of HRIS database and reporting knowledge (knowledge of Ultipro a plus)
    • Strong project management in order to plan, implement and manage project plan and individuals involved. Strategic thinking to envision project goals, scope, organization and other process.
    • Analytical skills necessary to conduct complex and detailed analysis of employees, retirement, or other data as needed. Good understanding of budget management, financial numbers and tracking. Cost analysis skills to determine recommendation in plans and compensation
    • Good interpersonal skills to work with others. Ability to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally. Capable of developing communications, trainings, and presentations. Able to present or train individuals or large groups in a variety of methods.
    • Ability to work flexible hours. May be required to travel
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively manage shifting priorities
    • Performs other duties as assigned
