    Summary:

    The HR Analyst position performs professional level Human Resources work at the direction of the Director, Human Resources to implement and execute HR-related initiatives in several disciplines: employee relations, labor relations, performance management, recruiting, regulatory compliance and reporting, benefits and compensation administration, training and development, and HRIS reporting in support of goals and objectives. Candidate must have knowledge of federal government contracting business processes.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provides support to managers regarding company policies, procedures, and practices.
    • Responsible for scheduling pre-employment testing including Physicals and Drug Screening, ordering Background Investigations and other testing as required.
    • Monitors performance management programs and procedures, including but not limited to performance appraisals, disciplinary/corrective actions, and performance improvement plans.
    • Monitors and executes Leave of Absence program.
    • Files Workers Compensation claims; monitors and reports on claims activity.
    • Administers and ensures compliance with Random Drug testing program.
    • Replies to Unemployment Claims.
    • Develops analytics in areas such as new hire orientation and on-boarding, background investigations, exit interviews, and terminations/resignations.
    • Generates monthly reports including HR Employment Activity, Attrition, Rosters, Workers Compensation, Leave of Absence and Directory.
    • Proposes improvement to policies, programs, and procedures to improve the effectiveness of human resources and operations.
    • Ensures compliance with Government-Mandated employer posting requirements.
    • Ensures Ethics Training Program is compliant.
    • May implement and facilitate other training programs (face-to-face or computer-based training) as required.
    • Provides backup to Recruiter.
    • Coordinates the submission of the Semi-Annual Corporate newsletter.
    • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends.
    • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum of five (5) years of Human Resources experience
    • Experience working in a multi-state, government contracting environment preferred.
    • Experience working with SCA employees in a unionized environment preferred.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of human resources practices, procedures, and strategies and relevant knowledge of local, state and federal regulations.
    • Must have advanced knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
    • Ability to maintain confidential data is also required.

    Microsoft Office Suite, ADP, Deltek, CostPoint, ReportNet, Taleo

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Clearance:

    SPHR or PHR Certification preferred
