- Ms. vanBurk is currently providing Systems, Applications, Products (SAP) training and project support for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). In collaboration with the client and BAH Instructional Systems Designers (ISDs), Ms. vanBurk develops training materials for SAP Position Management, including a design document for web-based training and project plan for SAP Personnel Management training. She incorporates continuous learning across the organization by providing ongoing support and communications to the end users.
- Designed, developed and delivered position management training in less than eight weeks, meeting the aggressive timeline with materials exceeding client expectations.
- Identified as the focal point for HRIS administration, training and data for a variety of clients across the organization.
Ms. vanBurk is also working with the client to improve data integrity across the organization, managing a SharePoint site for ongoing collaboration with the HR Officers. She also worked with colleagues to refine the process in which HRIS requests are validated, assigned and tracked by the client, providing greater visibility into the HRIS team's daily operations and enabling better prioritization of projects. Additionally, she provided functional input on the Joint Architecture Reference Model (JARM), prevalent within the Intelligence Community for establishing a baseline of services, applications and tools. This provided the client with a more efficient and effective method to evaluate services, tools and resources across the organization.

Compensation Consultant (2007-2010)
Provided day-to-day support on compensation related issues for a leading provider of scientific, engineering, systems integration and technical services and solutions. Regularly conducted research and provided recommendations relating to job evaluations and descriptions in accordance with regulatory compliance standards. Annually, reviewed and submitted compensation surveys for Western Management Group's Government Contractors, Mercer Energy, Mercer ITS Benchmark, Foushee Security and Compliance, and the Watson Wyatt Government Contractor Cleared Personnel. Designed and administered Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) compensation policies and procedures. Specific accomplishments include:
- Directed the largest job study review related to job classification and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), including the assessment of information technology related jobs, and training and guidance for human resource professionals and supervisors. Streamlined the process of job data collection.
- Facilitated training sessions for managers, recruiters, and human resource professionals, resulting in increased awareness of wage and hour compliance and improved job classification and training.
- Led the SAIC-sponsored cleared survey in conjunction with the vendor Watson Wyatt, and collaborated with vendor in the modification of the pay and policy practices, resulting in improved data collection and the highest participation rate in history.
Senior Human Resource Business Partner (2004-2007)
Supported 300+ employees and managed two direct reports in providing guidance to managers in all aspects of human resource management. Counseled managers on employee relation's issues, performance management, organizational assessments, workplace harassment, and workforce planning.
