HRCI Certification has been the certify agent in the Human Resources field. With the introduction of SHRM certification, those in Human Resources now have a choice. HRCI plans to compete and grow by providing greater value to HR professionals. Join us to discuss the changes and hear directly from HRCI about their plans for moving forward.
Rebecca R. Hastings, SPHR-CA manages the PHR, SPHR and California exams and the many dedicated volunteers who work on them. She earned her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification in 1993, her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) in 1997 and her California certification in 2013.
Prior to joining HRCI, Rebecca worked for SHRM for 23 years: first as the organization's second HR person and then in a variety of roles including managing the Knowledge Center, running the now defunct Employment Management Association and reporting for SHRM online diversity and employee relations issues.
Rebecca hastings has a B.S. in business from George Mason University and an M.S. in training and HR from Leicester University. She has been quoted in the Washington Post, Wall Street Journal and USA Today.
