When HR organizations launch employee programs, they often spend millions of dollars with the sure expectation of a return on investment. Some programs deliver immediate return, like attracting top talent for hire. Some, such as wellness programs, promise the long term benefits of a more energetic and more productive workforce, often with additional rebates and perks to the company from health insurers. But what happens when a program fizzles and employees fail to stick with it long term? Productivity flatlines, insurance perks dry up, and senior executives start pointing the finger at you.

Jill Wolff, communications strategist and certified wellness coach, joins us this month to lead a discussion on the critical importance of a solid long term communications strategy to keep employees engaged in HR-run programs. We'll talk briefly about why people start programs with good intentions and then drop them, plus how your communications can be strengthened to keep wellness top of mind and better motivate employees to succeed.

While we'll be discussing wellness programs specifically, these core communications principles apply to any human resources program for which you desire more robust engagement. Jill is a 20-year veteran of the communications industry. Having managed employee communications for organizations of 10 to 10,000 employees. More recently, she runs a private wellness practice, Sweet Tree Wellness, combining private health coaching with her extensive communications background to consult with companies on programs-maintenance strategies.
