    Retirement Reimagined

People spend more time planning single events such as a car purchase or a 2-week vacation than they do planning for the retirement phase of their lives.  Retirement is so much more than making sure you have enough money for the rest of your life. It is about your social life, your sense of purpose, your surrounding community living environment, and that only scratches the surface.

Our guest speakers are seasoned leadership development and executive coaches. Though they currently live on opposite coasts, Suzie Golden-Riley and Tiffany Lyon have teamed to develop a retirement coaching program that encourages clients to reimagine their retired lives with a balanced perspective rather than focus exclusively on the more traditional and one-dimensional financial approach.

In this interactive session you will learn about:

    • Surprising retirement statistics and common misconceptions (we intend to debunk some myths!)
    • Stages of retirement – we don’t all share the same timing, expectations, readiness and enthusiasm for the transition into retirement (and that’s okay!)
    • CLEVER Retirement: The pillars of a balanced retired life – we’ll use this tool to help you rank your comfort, confidence and importance in various aspects of retired life
    • Retirement coaching – what it is, why it’s important, and what it can do for you and your organization

Suzie Golden-Riley has over 25 years of healthcare administration experience and currently runs a leadership development program for a large multi-specialty medical group in Northern California. She works with physician leaders of all levels to help them grow in the “soft skills” not taught in medical school.

After watching her husband struggle with his own retirement, Suzie is dedicated to helping others to navigate this transition with curiosity and excitement. She and her husband Mark (still reluctantly retired!) live in Santa Cruz, California with two dogs, one cat and lots of family and friends that love to visit this beautiful beach town.
