Designing Your Corporate Healthcare Strategy for 2022 and Beyond

    • Health Plan Funding Options
    • Vendors in the marketplace beyond “big insurance”
    • The difference between Cost Mitigation and Cost Shifting
    • What types of risk to insure and what type to pay directly

    Biography:

Bryan Clickener, REBC is an Employee Benefits Consultant with Risk Strategies.  Bryan brings over 20 years of experience in business development, sales, account management and operations across various industries from retail to government contracting and most extensively insurance.

He leads a cross functional team of insurance professionals that assist clients in developing employee benefit plans, insurance solutions and risk management strategies to achieve their company’s needs and goals.  We accomplish this by promoting pricing and cost transparency, leveraging technology to improve employee healthcare and health insurance engagement while using plan data to control and mitigate cost where possible.  Many methods are employed to these ends such as pricing transparency, disintermediating misaligned parties from the solutions, aligning insurance solutions to a company’s actual policies and practices, and engaging with clients as a consultant and solution provider.

Almost 20 years ago, Bryan began his insurance career at a small, family owned insurance agency, which focused on selling and delivering insurance products to small businesses in Northern Virginia.  He spent over eight years there building his insurance knowledge while developing his consulting approach and skillset.  After gleaning what was available there, it was on to new challenges in the government contracting industry to further his development.  Prior to reentering the insurance industry in 2018, Bryan served as an executive of a now graduated 8(a) federal IT services contractor that primarily served DHS and HHS customers.  His many roles included leading business development, contract management, and account management while supporting business operations.  He executed and managed contracts worth $85 million while being the primary liaison with prime contractors, subcontractors, end-customers, contracting officers and contracting officer representatives.  He credits this experience for broadening and deepening his business acumen, focus on client engagement and solution delivery, which has made him a better advisor.
