    Best Practices and Considerations for Integrating Assessments into Your Talent Development Strategy (Approved for 1 SHRM credit and 1 HRCI credit)

    As organizations seek to win the talent wars by attracting, developing, and retaining top talent, those that are taking full advantage of assessment instruments at every step of the employee life-cycle have a competitive advantage. During this interactive session, Dr. Jamie Lewis Smith, published author and expert in leadership assessments, will elevate HR professionals’ knowledge of assessment basics, best practices for selecting and using assessments, and considerations to maximize the impact of assessments for talent development. Jamie will provide clarity about how to evaluate their strengths and weaknesses and how to select the best tools to meet the unique needs of the situation. Attendees will consider their own organizations’ needs and create an application plan.

    • Deepen understanding about talent assessment basics, including the types of assessments, the various uses, assessment methods, what makes a qualified practitioner for administration and interpretation
    • Explore key considerations for selecting the right instrument, including alignment of outcomes and assessment purpose, test validity, reliability, appropriate context for use
    • Apply information acquired in the session to planning an assessment strategy for attendees’ own organizations.



    About the speaker:

Jamie is a contributing member of the Forbes Coaches Council, a published author, and international speaker on the topics of leadership, assessment, and change.
