Dr. Terry L. Clower will share with us the current economic trends and conditions underlying the performance of the US and Washington area economies. With high inflation, Federal Reserve strategies, and our on-going economic adaptations to a post-pandemic economy, there is much uncertainty facing the Washington, DC region. Dr. Clower’s presentation will focus on how national and international forces are shaping our economic outlook, what near-term and medium-term trends will likely emerge, and what we should be doing to enhance regional economic competitiveness. The presentation will consider differential economic performance across our major sub-regions including NOVA, Suburban MD and Washington, DC.
This is the first time Dr. Clower has presented to our group, and it is a real treat for us to learn about the critical economic trends and forecasts specific to our region that impact our professional and personal lives, straight from the premier expert in the Metro Washington region., Ph.D.
