IMMORTAL HR – THE DEATH AND REBIRTH OF Ms. H (HARRIET) R. (ROSE) JOB.

IMMORTAL HR: THE CASE FOR WHY MS. H. (HARRIET) R. (ROSE) JOB CANNOT DIE!

    • Before the Covid Pandemic, Ms. HR Job was targeted by many within her organization and done away with.  This was vividly shown by Marc Miller – in his brilliant talk/”show” a detective story – Who killed Ms. Harriet Rose Job (HR JOB)?  In his 2017-2018 keynotes – detective Miller showed us that Ms. HR Job – was considered (among other things) as having the work traits that showed her to be - Irrelevant, Indifferent, Indecisive, Incompetent and Inflexible – with no new skills – as he called them – the 5 fatal “I’s”.  There were many suspects in the death of HR Job, including: Mr. Hugh Resources, Sue “Sis” Stems, Ms. Cher Holder, Juan Managemento (Senior Management),  Ed Konomy, Rob Otics, Mel Lenial, Bebe Boomer, and others. Detective Miller interviewed many of them. He determined that among the many motives suspects had for getting rid of Ms. HR JOB were many of her own doing: she was UNWILLING TO CHANGE, NOT A TEAM PLAYER,  STUCK IN HER TIME, DID NOT TRY TO EMBRACE , NEW TECHNOLOGY, DID NOT SEEK NEW WAYS,TO BECOME MORE EFFICIENT and DID NOT SHARE HER EXPERTISE (as out of date that it was).
    • But now, and as a result of COVID and its impact on the Global Workforce, (Ms.) HR Job is at the center of many issues and initiatives vital to the survival of an organization. HR Job is now considered critical by all and must heard and preserved.
    • She must be never again die, she must be made and considered IMMORTAL!
    • How did this happen? Who and What helped Ms. H. R. Job be resurrected?

This lively presentation presents the case for the “Immortality” of the function of HR Job. It is also an early preview of Marc Miller’s new book of the same name.
