    About the session: 

    Artificial Intelligence is transforming how organizations manage recruitment, performance, and employee engagement. This session explores the practical uses of AI in Human Resources,
    while addressing the legal and ethical challenges that come with it—including privacy concerns,
    accuracy and reliability of AI-generated results, and regulatory compliance. Special attention will
    be given to safeguarding sensitive employee data through robust information security practices
    and to developing a clear, organization-wide AI policy tailored for HR functions. The session will
    explore how to implement AI tools responsibly, minimize legal risk, and create fair, transparent
    HR practices in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

    About the speaker:

    Matthew E. Ritzman, Ph.D., J.D. is a Labor and Employment Attorney at Honigman LLP, where he
    advises organizational leaders on navigating complex workplace issues.

         Dr. Ritzman earned both a Ph.D. and law degree at the University of
         Toledo. His research focused on addressing organizational
         performance problems through human resources. With over a
         decade of experience teaching at the college level, Dr. Ritzman
         brings a passion for education to his work.

         Dr. Ritzman has published extensively on topics related to labor
         employment law and performance improvement. He is a frequent
         speaker at conferences and seminars, presenting on current legal
         developments, workplace conflict resolution, and the evolving role of
         technology in employment practices.
