    Please join us for a presentation and discussion regarding the Legal Aspects of Government Contracting.  In this session, you will become familiar with:

    • The Secure Act Overview – HR did you know this means 401k rules are changing?
    • Government Contractors – HR hiring practices and new changes (i.e., successor contractors on service contracts and the right of first hire)
    • Non-Competes – Understanding this topic from multiple vantage points
      • North and South divisions - But not the way you think
      • Agreements not to solicit or hire – Did you know you are at risk (stay out of jail)
      • Garden Leave – Informational updates & Trending in the U.S.

    Joe Jacob, Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary and International Business Development Leader at Objective Interface Systems, Inc.  OIS is a leader in real-time, embedded and high performance communications software.

    Joe is a strategic executive with over 30 years’ experience in legal and contract management in major technological. organizations. 

    Joe has a degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and he has a J.D. from Harvard Law School. He is a member, Bar of the U.S. Supreme Court and a member of New York, Illinois and Virginia Bars.
