Keeping it real and having honest and courageous conversations

As we are all trying to navigate the impacts of COVID-19 and racial issues, a lot of hard conversations need to take place. As HR professionals who build bridges between leadership and employees, having concrete tools to manage emotions and communicate more effectively is critical.

For example, how do we talk about basic issues like wearing masks as we are discussing returning to the office or larger issues like discussing different viewpoints when it comes to diversity and inclusion? How do we get leadership to act on matters that are important in this moment when they do not seem to be on board?

In this workshop Merzad Consulting will share a practical method for having these important conversations in a courageous and effective way. The concepts we will cover:

    1. Giving ourselves and others permission to feel and a method to manage our sensitive emotions
    2. How to understand when we are in a defensive mindset and how shift to a more open constructive mindset.
    3. How to communicate with courage, compassion, curiosity, and clarity.
